Our Mission

Ladder Canyon Codeworks provides engineered solutions to problems that require coding. We're not programmers calling ourselves Engineers. We are degreed Engineers who specialize in coding. What is the difference? Programmers are simple to find, and generally skilled at creating applications and utilities that fulfill a present need. They are also excellent at creating specific portions of applications under the direction of an Engineer. In fact, we frequently hire them for this purpose. However, when hired to provide an entire solution, they rarely create one that stands the test of time. In order for a software application to pass our requirements for release to a customer, it must meet the following criteria:

• It must be properly designed to fulfill needs of the customer for the present and the future, rather than requiring the customer to modify his needs around the functions of the application.
• It must be written in a language and on a development platform that is not likely to become obsolete within 10 years of completion.
• Users of the application must be able to get maintenance upgrades without the assistance of the developer.
• Programmers must be able to understand how to maintain the code
  without degrading the original design or function.
• The code must be structured in a manner that allows it to be easily
  modified and expanded to meet the needs of a growing business
  without having to discard or rewrite entire sections.
• It must meet the security needs of the customer.
